湯唯和吳秀波二度在《北京遇上西雅圖之不二情書》（《北西２》）談情，雖然故事橫跨澳門、香港、北京、倫敦、洛杉磯、拉斯維加斯等地，但兩人拍戲７個月幾乎沒同場演出，親熱戲僅止於擁抱，讓吳秀波笑說在拍「禁慾式愛情片」。

懷胎６個月的湯唯持續為新片宣傳，她和吳秀波在《北西２》因一本書開始通信，私底下的她也喜歡寫信，且會回影迷來信，「很謝謝他們信任我，跟我說心底話。」吳則笑說：「我連信都沒寫過！」

兩人在片中從頭到尾都有交流，但一直到最後在倫敦相遇，吳秀波透露，兩人仍有拍一些「親熱戲」，但不知道能不能用，「之前拍了一些有接觸的鏡頭也給導演剪掉了，但都是手拉手，擁抱就已經很嚴重，我們這部是禁慾式愛情片。」

湯唯當初太投入《黃金時代》演出，拍完大感體力透支，不過還是沒停止工作，硬撐著拍《北西２》，更因太勞累在澳門及倫敦摔倒兩次，扭傷右腳，一度坐輪椅上工，「我的腳已扭傷過９次，每次還沒康復就工作。」《北京遇上西雅圖之不二情書》５月13日在台上映。
